Khloé and Lamar — the show, not the couple — is over.
Although the Kardashian family just re-upped with the E! network for three more years of reality programming, the spin-off starring Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom, will not shoot a third season.
“Khloé has pulled the plug,” a source close to Kardashian, 27, tells Us Weekly.
It’s been a tumultuous several months for the pair. Earlier this this month, NBA star Odom, 32, parted ways the the Dallas Mavericks just four months after being traded to the team from the L.A. Lakers.
Back from Dallas, the spouses of two and a half years “have decided he should train all off season,” the insider says. “And she’s exhausted from filming!”
On their agenda? A long, long-delayed honeymoon! (The duo wed in September 2009.) “They just want to go on their honeymoon and take a breather,” the insider says.
But reality fans have definitely not seen the last of the twosome. In addition to appearances on Keeping Up with the Kardashians (season seven premieres May 20), “Khloé will do another spinoff with either Kim or Kourtney,” the insider explains of big sisters Kim, 31, and Kourtney, 33.
April 27th 2012: Khloé Kardashian Odom headed to husband Lamar Odom‘s hometown Jamaica, Queens to play basketball. Kim Kardashian also joined in on the fun.
April 24th 2012: Reality stars Khloé Kardashian Odom and older sister Kim Kardashian were spotted heading to Valbella Restaurant in New York for dinner.
In Khloé Kardashian‘s eyes, Scott Disick had a lot to prove.
For years, the two butted heads over Disick’s relationship with her older sister Kourtney (as documented on multiple episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians and Kourtney & Khloé Take Miami). But in a new interview with Aventura Magazine, 27-year-old Khloe admits that former bad boy Disick, 28, has since redeemed himself.
“Scott is so much better now,” Khloé admits. “He has worked hard and fights his demons. Plus, he is a great dad and good to Kourtney. I never thought I would be saying something like this, even a year ago. But I give credit where credit is due.”
Already parents to son Mason, 2, Disick and Kourtney, 33, are currently expecting their second child, and Khloé has faith that Disick will continue to be a devoted father and boyfriend.
“I think he’s nervous to have a little girl because I think guys know what they were like when they were younger, and they don’t want their daughters to go through that,” she laughed to Us Weekly at the opening of Disick’s New York City restaurant RYU Monday. “So I’m sure he’s going to be a little protective. I think he’s an amazing dad and I’m sure Mason will be protective, too.”
Disick confirmed that he “may be more protective” with his little girl, but added that it’s hard to “predict how it will be.”
“There aren’t any manuals, unfortunately,” Disick told Us. “They should write more manuals on how to raise kids because it’s tough, you know? I’m excited though, of course, and I can’t wait.”
The Kardashian family has just signed on for 3 more seasons with E!, and it’s the richest deal ever in reality TV … TMZ has learned.
Sources connected with the deal tell us, the family will get more than $40 million for 3 more seasons of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
The 6th season of the show averaged 3 million viewers. The 7th season begins airing May 20. Our sources say the $40-plus million deal does not include product endorsements and other items associated with the show that Kim, Kris and the rest of the brood are able to hock.
Sources connected to the deal tell TMZ … Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kris and Bruce will get the lion’s share of the money … and they are each getting equal pay.
We’re told Kendall, Kylie and Rob are on a lower pay grade — and will be paid equally as well. Scott Disick and his son Mason have a separate deal. Ditto for Lamar … who hammered out a package deal to appear in both “Khloe and Lamar” and “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
We’re told the new deal ONLY includes existing shows — so if Kim and Kanye get a new spinoff show … they will have to bang out a new contract for even MORE money.
April 23rd 2012:Khloé Kardashian Odom stepped out to support Scott Disick at the opening of RYU Restaurant in New York.
Also in the building to celebrate Scott’s success Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Rob Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Lamar Odom, Jonathan Cheban and Kanye West.
