In 2012 the Kardashian sisters launched their line with Sears, opened a new location of boutique DASH as well as novelty shop Kardashian Khaos in Las Vegas’s Mirage resort, sold millions in K-DASH for QVC and inked a $40 million renewal deal with E!—she’s a mini-mogul in her own right.

Khloé Kardashian has gotten used to sharing her life on television, but now the reality star and her husband Lamar Odom are stepping back from the spotlight.

“We just wanted to prioritize a little,” Kardashian, 27, tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview as the couple tables their show Khloé & Lamar until his basketball career is back on track.

“We just wanted a little pause. Part of being married is knowing when your husband needs your support.”

While Kardashian says she always made sure cameras weren’t around during days when Lamar, 32, had a basketball game (he’s currently sitting out the season after a difficult trade to Dallas), now that they’ll only be appearing on E!’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and their own daily lives will no longer be on display, “there’s less pressure on us.”

That pressure had certainly been building but Kardashian says, the risk of damaging her relationship with Lamar wasn’t worth it. “I’m a modern girl, but you should put your husband first,” she says. “I like to think divorce is not an option.”

The Kardashian family has just signed on for 3 more seasons with E!, and it’s the richest deal ever in reality TV … TMZ has learned.

Sources connected with the deal tell us, the family will get more than $40 million for 3 more seasons of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”

The 6th season of the show averaged 3 million viewers. The 7th season begins airing May 20. Our sources say the $40-plus million deal does not include product endorsements and other items associated with the show that Kim, Kris and the rest of the brood are able to hock.

Sources connected to the deal tell TMZ … Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kris and Bruce will get the lion’s share of the money … and they are each getting equal pay.

We’re told Kendall, Kylie and Rob are on a lower pay grade — and will be paid equally as well. Scott Disick and his son Mason have a separate deal. Ditto for Lamar … who hammered out a package deal to appear in both “Khloe and Lamar” and “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”

We’re told the new deal ONLY includes existing shows — so if Kim and Kanye get a new spinoff show … they will have to bang out a new contract for even MORE money.

Khloé Kardashian Odom explains why she and hubby Lamar Odom haven’t gotten pregnant yet. Plus, is little brother Rob Kardashian meddling in his sister’s marriage?

Khloé Kardashian has been very open about wanting to start a family with husband Lamar Odom, but not getting pregnant is blessing in disguise, according to the reality star.

“It’s frustrating when you hear so many rumors because it makes you almost want to put pressure on yourself,” Khloé, 27, told PEOPLE on Tuesday while promoting the second season of E!’s Khloé & Lamar. “But looking back, I think everything happens for a reason.”

Kardashian explains that circumstances are different now than when she first got together with her hoop-shooting hubby, 32, who was recently traded from the L.A. Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks.

“I think, ‘Gosh, what if I did get pregnant last season or a few months ago?’” she says. “Or what if I had a newborn baby and all this [NBA] trade stuff happened? I don’t think I could have dealt with everything at one time. Doing this trade and my husband’s emotions and going through all that is so stressful.”

But the lovebirds, who now have a home in Dallas, still have an expanded family in their sights.

“Maybe Dallas will bring a baby,” Kardashian says optimistically. “We’re definitely trying to have kids. Everything will happen when it’s meant to be. Last season, we were much more documenting, ‘Okay, when am I ovulating, when am I doing this?’ And it was very stressful to do it that way, so we’ve stopped. Lamar and I definitely are letting nature take its course.”

Still, the couple’s baby-making efforts are documented throughout this season. The premiere episode (airing Feb. 19 at 10 p.m.) includes several lovemaking-themed scenes, including one focused on sex swings.

“We’ve had our same film crew since the first season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” the small-screen star says. “So for me, I never think twice about [filming intimate scenes]. I don’t ever think about how many people are going to watch the show. I don’t ever want to filter myself. I like being me.”

Odom, on the other hand, prefers to be a bit more private when it comes to letting the world in on what happens between the sheets.

“For Lamar, it’s different,” says Kardashian. “He’s still getting used to filming. There are standard cameras that are just placed in rooms. There’s no film crew in those rooms. You see the black and white footage because Lamar’s like, ‘I can’t get my freak on with people here.’ ”
